*An inspiring and social experience for family and friends! * Easter Eve 3/4 - At Paradisverkstaden you get the chance to decorate ceramics with the guidance of our experienced staff. Then you will follow the process of Raku burning - an ancient technique in which fire, air, water and mud interact to create unique expressions. We have been working with raku burning for many years, and each burn offers an equal amount of excitement and magic. A moment of creation, warmth and surprises. We work with one-hour slots where up to 10 people can participate per full hour. Seats fill up quickly, so make sure to book well in advance to secure your experience!

Egg painting - children's activity

Paint | Create | Easter in Paradis During Easter Eve, Saturday 4 April, we invite all creative children and young people to a creative moment in our workshop on Öland. 🗓 When: Saturday, April 4 ⏰ Time: 10:00-15:00 Guided tours allow children to paint their own ceramic eggs - a playful activity where colour, shape and imagination take their place. Create/course “Pippi Paradis”

A creative weekend course at the Paradise Workshop inspired by birds and their plumage. Close study with Hannah & Eva Paradis in sketch and watercolour painting based on bird life on Öland. *Date: * April 25-26 Saturday 11:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Sunday 10am-4pm *Price: * 3500 kr per person The price includes: — All materials — Tutorial both days — 1 ceramic object (barrel or other ceramic shape) — Lunch & coffee (both days) — Glazing, firing and shipping within Sweden Course layout Day 1 -- Inspiration & Sketch Theme: Bird life on Öland and the details of the plumage We begin with an introduction and inspiration from Öland's rich bird life - shapes, colour variations and feather patterns. During the day we work with: Current studies and photo materials Sketching exercises Watercolor painting Review of techniques and color building The focus is on seeing, simplifying and finding a personal expression. Day 2 -- Ceramic Painting Theme: Transferring patterns to ceramics Now we turn the sketches into ceramic decor. You get: Plan your motive Work with ceramic paints and glazes Paint your unique feather pattern on a saucer or other ceramic shape We go through technique, brushwork and how color changes in firing. After the course, the items are glazed and burned in our workshop and sent home to you within about two to three weeks. AW PARADIS - Green Fingers

One evening a month we invite you to AW at Paradisverkstaden - a relaxed meeting place where creativity and community are the focus. This time we also celebrate that Crêperie Paradis has received a new costume after the renovation. During the evening, galettes, crêpes, wine and cider are served. In our studio there is an opportunity to participate in the evening creative workshop and decorate a ceramic Easter egg. Tonight's theme is spring longing - we pick out soil, pots, bulbs and flower fakirs and get inspired by the first flowers of spring. The AW is free to visit, but if you want to attend the workshop, book your place in advance. Price: 425 kr. (click view date to book) There will even be goodiebags during the evening (for the first 50 to shop). One of the guests of the evening is Södra butik which talks about scented candles from Öland. Create/Course - Raku - Fire, Mud and the Moment

Raku burning has been part of the Paradise Workshop for many years. In Raku, the elements - fire, air, water and mud - come together in an intense and unpredictable process. Raku is a traditional Japanese ceramic method in which rapid firings, special glazes and reduction create crackles, metallic luster, deep blackening and vivid shifts. The result can never be completely controlled, each object becomes unique. The fire is an active co-creator and the process is just as important as the result. During the workshop (about 3 hours) you will receive: — An introduction to the origins and technology of Rakun — Work with sketch and decor on ceramics — Preparing your item for burning — Experience the firing moment up close The course includes 2 ceramic items that are burned in Raku and shipped to you free of shipping within a couple of weeks.
