Weekend course “Pippi Paradis”
A creative weekend course at the Paradise Workshop inspired by birds and their plumage. Close study with Hannah & Eva Paradis in sketch and watercolour painting based on bird life on Öland. *Date: * April 25-26\ Saturday 11:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.\ Sunday 10am-4pm *Price: * 3500 kr per person\ The price includes:\ — All materials\ — Tutorial both days\ — 1 ceramic object (barrel or other ceramic shape)\ — Lunch & coffee (both days)\ — Glazing, firing and shipping within Sweden Course layout Day 1 -- Inspiration & Sketch\ Theme: Bird life on Öland and the details of the plumage We begin with an introduction and inspiration from Öland's rich bird life - shapes, colour variations and feather patterns. During the day we work with: Current studies and photo materials Sketching exercises Watercolor painting Review of techniques and color building The focus is on seeing, simplifying and finding a personal expression. Day 2 -- Ceramic Painting\ Theme: Transferring patterns to ceramics Now we turn the sketches into ceramic decor. You get: Plan your motive Work with ceramic paints and glazes Paint your unique feather pattern on a saucer or other ceramic shape We go through technique, brushwork and how color changes in firing.
